Be Like the Wind

This is one of my most treasured passages from the Tao.
Express yourself completely,
then keep quiet.
Be like the forces of nature:
when it blows, there is only wind;
when it rains, there is only rain;
when the clouds pass, the sun shines through.
Tao te Ching, Chapter 23 (Stephen Mitchell translation)
A simple thought, a source of strength.
I had a boss many years ago who gave me a copy of Tao te Ching. He was one of my better bosses.
I am so glad I discovered your blog and was reminded of the simple but profound wisdom of the Tao. However my own spiritual path continues and whatever words are used to describe it; I hope and believe I will never wonder too far from the Tao.
Thanks so much. Yes, I feel the strength whenever I recall these words.
absolutely wonderful, i need to print this out and pin it up in front of me today!
